There are lots of tools available to keep us looking our best while maintaining our youthful appearance. Whether it’s a toned body, clear skin, or a gorgeous smile, we all want to look our best. Some of the tools available to help us in that endeavor might include dermal abrasion, plastic surgery, cosmetic or implant dentistry, cosmetic eye surgery, dermatology, and of course exercise and proper nutrition. Unfortunately, one of the byproducts that frequently accompany our efforts to look good is pain. The pain can be from one of various the medical procedures or our overindulgence in exercise. Fortunately, there is a natural, noninvasive solution to the sudden or chronic episodes of pain encountered.
Acupuncture is over 3000 years old and is used by most of the world for not only treating pain but for many other common ailments as well. Acupuncture is safe and drug-free. The acupuncturist uses tiny needles (the needle is finer than a human hair) at different locations on the body. It’s not uncommon at all for the needles to be in entirely different locations than where the pain is located.
When you visit and acupuncturist, they take 12 pulses (six on each wrist) to determine where there are imbalances in your body. Based on these pulses, the acupuncturist has a good understanding of what’s taking place and using this knowledge they know where to place the needles in order to relieve or eliminate the pain. Acupuncture used to be considered an alternative to regular medicine and now is considered to be a mainstream procedure. In fact, most insurance companies now cover acupuncture treatments in their policies.
Many of the tools used to keep us looking our best are significant medical procedures. Sometimes the recovery can be difficult. One of the ways to have a more comfortable recovery is through the use of hypnosis. Hypnosis can prepare the body for the medical procedures and, as a result, not only does the procedure proceed more smoothly, there is frequently little swelling or pain afterward, which results in very rapid recovery. Hypnosis is also extremely useful for reducing or eliminating any fear that one might have with regards to these procedures.
Have you been to the dentist lately? I have heard of people who have not been to the dentist in decades! The unfortunate part of not seeing the dentist regularly is that you can do significant damage (disease) to your mouth which can then spread throughout your entire body. I know that going to the dentist is not everybody’s favorite thing to do. Some of us have a fear of needles or even a phobia of the dentist. Hypnosis is an excellent tool to assist you in being able to release these fears so that you can visit the dentist regularly.
Hypnosis is frequently useful for motivating a person to exercise and/or eat properly. How many times have I heard a person say “I would to go to the gym if only…”. It seems that we can come up with a million different reasons for not exercising or not eating what we should eat.
If you find yourself in pain or fear, acupuncture and/or hypnosis might be the answer.
